What If Your Dream Birth Was Totally Possible?

My Dream Birth in April 2019

This is us, pictured on a sunny morning in April 2019.

If I had come across this question back in September 2018, while navigating the first weeks of my pregnancy, I would probably have kept scrolling without realising that a few months later, the birth of my son would completely transform my life beyond anything I could have imagined.

Fast forward to today as I write this post, and I realise how lucky I was to cross paths with other women who shared their hypnobirthing stories with me during my second trimester. They made me realise that it was OK to want something better than what is often depicted and accepted as an unavoidable (and sometimes traumatic) means to an end...

Consider this:

🌱 Your dream birth is not just about how or where you birth your baby. It’s about HOW YOU FEEL when you get to hold her for the first time and during the weeks, months, and years that follow.

🌱 If someone tells you that there is no point in preparing and that ignorance is bliss, they most likely didn't choose a progressive birth preparation course and probably had a challenging birth experience that has never been resolved emotionally. Don't settle for these negative and hopeless narratives. Ignorance will never be a blessing. If you don’t learn about your options, you won't have any. If you don’t practice relaxation and breathing techniques, they won’t come naturally during the birth. Only empowering knowledge and practice will enable you to feel calm, confident, and give you the best chance for a gentle and more comfortable experience.

🌱 Acknowledging your fears and asking yourself what actually matters to you are the first steps toward an positive birth experience.

🌱 Your dream birth today will likely be different from the one you will want to prepare for at the end of my course.

🌱 You deserve that birth..."

Now, let’s make birth magic happen!
